Architected and developed a cross-platform SaaS product solving scheduling problems for users across the globe. Currently focused on building an LLM-based autonomous schedule agent that is as easy to use as email, including the CalendarBridge MCP server, which opens calendars to AI agents. San Jose, CA. Viv Labs became a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung in October 2016; its assistant became Bixby.

• Bixby 2.0: complete re-architecture of the client application and client–server protocol, integrating Viv client infrastructure with Samsung infrastructure and rewriting the Bixby/Viv Android app and networking code. Deployed on all Galaxy S9+ models.
• Designed a multiplexed client protocol carrying voice data, authentication, and request/response through one endpoint, with all Viv/Samsung service communication handled by edge servers, a design later adopted by TVs and speakers.
• Re-architected the Viv client into core features and widgets other Samsung teams could integrate into the Bixby 2.0 suite.
• Bixby 1.5: integrated, tested, and certified Viv client code into the existing Bixby code base with remote Samsung teams on a very short timeline; shipped on Galaxy S7/S8/S9.
• Viv 1.0: designed and developed the Android app; prototyped speech input/feedback UX, a Discovery feature (client + server), and native widget layouts.

Developed Circa News for Android, featured multiple times in Google Play, part of Play Picks Best Apps of 2013 and Beautiful Design Winter 2013, with a "Top Developer" designation from the Google Play editorial team.

• Broke the first confirmed U.S. Ebola case to Circa's newsroom (1:43 pm Pacific, September 30, 2014), the moment WIRED's January 2015 "Break the News" cover story captured: "From across the room, the Android developer… shouts, 'Ebola in the United States!'" That Android developer was me.
• Circa News 2.0: first Android version, with optimized 7"/10" tablet experiences, rich notifications, and an app widget.
• Circa News 3.0/3.1: complete redesign with Android Wear integration, then a Material redesign.
• Built a wearable prototype for the Sony SmartWatch 2, demoed on hardware at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.
• Designed and developed a Google Glass version using the Mirror API (breaking news, story updates, and a daily digest), including server-side integrations and a web front end.
• Developed the initial Apple Watch companion app, featured by Apple in the Apple Watch App Store.
